Mrs. Edith Mae Battenfield 
February 21, 1924 - January 22, 2013

Edith Mae Battenfield, age 88, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in Harrison. She was born February 21, 1924, in Jasper, Arkansas, the daughter of Samuel Andrew and Della (Breedlove) Smith. Edith Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Battenfield; her daughter, Alberta Mae Battenfield; her brother, Grover Smith; and four sisters, Augusta Faught, Faye Lane, Hattie Harp and Louise Henderson.

Edith Mae was a member of First Church of God in Harrison. She was a member of the DAV Akuxiliary.

Edith Mae is survived by her sons, Arlis James Battenfield and Albert Ray Battenfield, both of Harrison; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of other family; and many dear friends.

Visitation is open at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service is 2:00 PM, Friday, January 25, 2013, at CrossRoads Community Church.

Interment is in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Michael Battenfield, Jeremy Battenfield, Andy Battenfield, Roger Faught, Larry Battenfield and Ricky Faught.
