Charles J. Speak, Harrison
Charles J. Speak, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. He was 69 years old.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 15 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service is on Saturday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Chapel. Rev. Charles Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Bellefonte Cemetery. Pallbearers are T.J. Campbell, Jess Campbell, Bob Campbell, Tommy Campbell, D.J. Eli, and Chris Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Hicks, Hoot Simmons, Clint Simmons, Ralph Watkins, Harvey Slape, Ray Clayborn, and Terry Yeager.
The son of Chester Medie and Dottie (Mills) Speak was born on June 9, 1943 in Harrison, AR.
Charles owned CM Speak Iron & Metal Company.
He enjoyed working on his antique cars, and visiting with his customers that came into the shop. Charles was of the Baptist Faith.
His parents; a brother, Hubert Ross Speak; brother-in-law, Carl Roberts; and his mother and father-in-law, Dink and Zelmer Campbell preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Campbell) Speak; a son and his wife, Chester and Monica Speak; one granddaughter, Caitlin Cheyenne Speak; a brother, James T. Speak; three sisters, Janet and her husband, Delbert Jones, Ora Lee and her husband, Robert Wienert; and Nancy Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
