Ethel M. Gardner, 81, of Green Forest, AR passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born November 21, 1931 in Omaha, AR to the late John Marcus Flippo and Opal Mae (Richardson) Flippo.

Ethel worked as office manager for Glick Garment Factory in Berryville and also at Tyson’s Food. She was a wonderful mother, always caring for her family first; she loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was a hard-worker, compassionate and forgiving. She loved quilting, fishing, camping and family get-togethers. Ethel was affiliated with the Church Of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Gardner JR of Green Forest, David Gardner and wife Kathy of Green Forest, daughter, Marcella Gardner of Rockaway Beach, MO, brother, Lonnie Flippo, sister, Evelyn Flippo, grandchildren, Bradley Parton, Bryan Gardner, Amanda Croxton, Brandi Pattinson, Wesley Gardner, Nichole Hyde, Jesse Gardner, Jeffrey Gardner, great-grandchildren, Dylan Gardner, Hunter Wallace, Kayleigh Gardner, Preston Casto, Bethany Casto, Temperance Casto, Payton Gardner, Kanten Gardner, Alexis Pattinson, Avaley Grace Gardner, Trevor Parton, Alyssa Parton, Grant Parton and Emily Grace Parton. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by brothers, Luther and Johnny Flippo and sister, Ella Flud.

Celebration Of Life Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 13th at Smith Family Funeral Home with brother Kenneth Asbury officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice Of The Hills, 501 E. Sherman, Harrison, AR 72601.
