Dixie Bell Etheridge,84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday November 5, 2012. She was born July 17, 1928 at Smackover, AR to the late Jenny Vance Patterson and Herbert Patterson.

Dixie graduated from High School in Hugo, OK in May of 1946 and later graduated from business school. On August 3, 1946 she was united in marriage to her sole-mate, Billy Jackson. She was employed at various jobs over the years but God and family always came first. She was a devoted minister’s wife and touched many children and lives of others through her faith. She was a member of Midway Full Gospel Church, out of Green Forest.

Dixie leaves behind many loved ones including: husband of 66 years, Reverend Billy Jackson Etheridge of the home, 4 daughters, Carolyn Sue Gentry of Holiday Island, Barbara Jean Miller and husband Fred of Mount Vernon, MO, Alice Marie Edwards and husband Ronald of Shell Knob, MO, Martha Fay Roney and husband Burkley of Excelsior Springs, MO, 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother, JC Patterson of Howell, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 great-grandson.

Celebration Of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 9 2012 at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery with family members officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
