Erma Lea Gibbins, age 78, of Compton, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2012, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was born atCenterpoint,Arkansas, by theBuffaloRiver, on November 22, 1933. She was the daughter of Ray and Arbie Villines ofCompton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ebert Gibbins, her parents, Ray and Arbie Villines, one brother Perry Villines ofComptonand one sister Freda Villines Martin also ofCompton.
She is survived by 2 sons, Randy Gibbins and wife Cheryl of Compton and Garvin Gibbins and wife Sandi of Harrison; 1 daughter Dema Beaver and husband Cliff of Compton; 1 brother Howard Villines of Compton; 5 sisters, Ruby Gray of Springfield, Missouri, Cleo Gibbins of Compton, Wilma Sims of Harrison, Rosie Marie Bryant of Bergman and Jane Kilgore of Low Gap. She had 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren whom she cherished and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved her very much.
Erma was a kind, gentle and loving person who devoted her life to her family and her Lord. She faithfully attendedCrossroadsChurchinCompton. She had a servant’s heart and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 PM, November 14, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10 AM, November 15, 2012, atCrossroadsChurchinComptonwith Donnie Villines and Craig Villines speaking. Interment will follow atCrossroadsCemeteryinCompton.
Pallbearers will be Brant Beaver, Trevor Gibbins, Michael Gibbins, Dempsey Gibbins, Eddie Villines and Teddie Villines. Honorary pallbearers are Beacher Villines and Steven Villines.
