Joe Herbert Brisco passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the age of 94. 

Mr. Brisco was united in marriage on December 27, 1939, to Bessie Sims, and they would enjoy nearly 73 years together.  Herb served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman during 1945-1946.  He returned to Compton and worked as a farmer and retired from Flexsteel. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and camping and he always enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Asberry and Fannie Brisco, three sister, Thelma Flidewell, Bessie Barton and Verna Carpenter.  One infant brother and one granddaughter Cathy Smith.

Survivors:  Spouse:  Bessie (Sims) Brisco of Compton, Son & daughter in Law:  Bobby Joe & Anne Brisco of Harrison,  Daughters and Son in Law:  Christine Miller of Harrison and Mary Ellen and Gary Gregory of Berryville, Sister:  Elvie Sims of Compton, Imogean Chester of Oregon, Brothers:  Earl Brisco, Harrison and Marion Brisco, Harrison.  6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great-Grandcildren.

Services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 26, 2012 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.  Visitation:  2 - 4 P.M., Sunday, November 25 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Family requests memorials to Hospice of the Hills or to the Plumlee Cemetery Fund.
